My First Encounter with Jesus For most of my early life, I felt like a failure. Disappointment, frustration, and emptiness led me down a dark path. Between 1990 and 1995 , I became addicted to drugs. What started as a simple experiment quickly turned into a destructive habit. I spent 3 to 4 years trapped in addiction—drinking, partying, and roaming the streets late at night with my friends. I was also part of a gang, and my life revolved around reckless behavior. My mother warned me repeatedly, begging me to change , but I never listened. I didn’t care. I thought I was in control, but in reality, I was lost . A Divine Encounter One day, a lady from a respected church came to visit my mother and me.
